ELEMNT BOLT GPS Bike Computer is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 153.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice compact cycling computer I bought this to replace a failed Edge 1000 and have been very happy with the purchase. My only gripe with this unit is that the climb data, i.e. gradient is not as granular as the Edge 1000. As an example I put another Edge 1000 side by side with this unit on the same ride and while the Edge was giving me data regarding the gradient, the Bolt stayed at 0. I will grant that the gradients in question were not huge but could be felt in your legs, hence I'd expect something on the display. Otherwise, my overall rating is 4.5 stars (can't do that above) as the unit has a great number of features and the ability to customize it to your liking. Set up of sensors and connection to your phone is seamless. Bluetooth connectivity on the Edge unit is not as simple. Overall, I'm glad I bought the unit and it has replaced the Edge on my road bike. I still use the Edge on my MTB for the mapping.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Never ever going back to Garmin I replaced my Garmin with the Bolt and could not be happier! All of the features are fantastic and it is so much easier to read when I'm riding.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I bought it 3 weeks ago It is quite simple to use and flexible in configuration. I am generally satisfied with it. But there are still some things that i miss concerning Di2 integration. The values of "battery charge level" and "gear ratio" (.eg. 52x18,36x21,...) should be displayable direct on the configured pages on the monitor. Actually the gears are visible as progressive numbers (1,2,3,4,..) which makes less sense in my opinion and the battery charge level of Di2 is hidden in the system page which also makes less sense. It should be dispalyable as elemt battery charge and phone battery charge level is. Another point is that the startup is quite slow. Sometimes this is disturbing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but can be improved I have purchased the Elemnt Bolt with the speed sensor. Heart rate, cadence and power I already had via 3rd party equipment. The good: * pairing and setting up is a breeze really straightforward and simple * display is clearly visible in all light conditions * usability is straightforward ... Problems encountered: * somehow the power meter got registered twice ... once as the Quark DFour and once as a generic Power meter. This meant than on my second ride the power metrics were all over the place ... but mostly under 50W. Removing and repairing fixed the problem. * starting up the computer ... then stepping away for a few meters to fit my shoes I get immediately a notification that bluetooth communication is not working - before even stepping on my bicycle. Maybe a little delay to wait until things get moving would be a solution. Screen zoom in / zoom out * for the most part this feature is OK ... and after rearranging the fields in the correct order I can get what I need on each zoom level. Would be nice to see the zoom views directly in the mobile app * it would be nice to define the zoom jumps ... from 1-3-4-5 fields ... the defaults don't fit my taste * on the altitude or climbing page the up/down changes only the elevation chart and is only usable in the completely zoomed out view ... not sure why only the elevation chart is altered, as this is the only field that should stay as it is. Navigation: * navigation is a mixed bag ... most of the times working as expected, sometimes giving the wrong direction on screen but showing the correct direction on the map ... sometimes not indicating a turn at all. For the most part looking at the map resolved the issue. Better maps with better routing would probably fix the issues. LED indicators * the LED indicators are a neat feature but completely useless in strong sunlight - as barely visible Uploading rides / syncing * Syncing rides to linked account works most of times ... but need some manual refresh at times (have Strava, RideWithGPS and DropBox linked) Live tracking * as per my wife ... sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't at all. Having 3G LTE enabled at all times and the app running in the background on my iPhone ... still not working as expected. Missing * while there is a ton of features and metrics I'm missing the most basic one. A total distance (odometer), recording my whole ride ... not only from pressing start to finish but also the remaining distance. While wahoo is recording active and "coffe" time ... it should be so hard to include the total ride distance vs. active distance. * the info page (left button) shows sensors, battery status and other useful information like the clock. Here I would like to see together with the current time the current temperature. Temperature is something that is not critical to be displayed all the time but nice to have a glance at.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to set up! Tons of options! I have owned many bike computers over the years. This has been the easiest, user friendly, experience I've had. I like the zoom feature, and page set up. The map feature is not laggy like my Garmin Edge 520. However, the only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5...personal reason... I really like the live link feature on the Garmin. The bolt has one, but it's only option is to send an email to your emergency contacts when the ride starts. I would like the option to send a text and/or an email. If I had to choose just one, it would be a text. Other than that, I have no complaints. It's great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This Computer Does Everything! Great computer, this Bolt does everything. I can't believe I've ridden this long without it! You can't get anything better for the price, and it stands up to Garmin's top end device, only simplier to use and less frustrating to operate! Wahooligan for life!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product! I bought this Wahoo element over the new Garmin 510 Edge. Ease of use, aerodynamics and tech, pushed me purchase the wahoo.
