Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than using GPS I got real time MPH. This is better than using GPS over the air. One small problem.. It really don't fit well on oversize hub. My front hub is Mavic CF oversize so I just put on rear hub which is smaller and fit better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The best sensor yet Everything running great but few issue about not real time enough, few sec delay .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good as stand alone After great results with my RPM Cadence was exited when the RPM Speed came out. It like its sister unit is easy to install, efficient, and clean as an add-on. With the Wahoo app it works flawlessly. It is accurate and reliable. And here is the "but", My 3 Wahoo peripherals were purchased to integrate with my Abvio Cyclemeter/Walkmeter app on my IOS device that doubles as a cycle computer. In my case i'm 2 for 3. The RPM Speed does pair and shows up in the "Devices" list. The issue is that it the data from the RPM Speed is not passed/received by the app. It seems that the IOS app prioritizes the GPS data. This data stream is not as snappy or accurate as the data from the RPM Speed. Imagine that both Wahoo and Abvio will sort this our in future but as of now it is nonfunctional. So with the Wahoo app it is a 5 Star. For me a bit less.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good so far Using this with my trike so still adjusting it for accuracy with my 20"-wheels . This is the first product that allows me to use something besides GPS on the trike. Nice companion to the stand alone cadence sensor. So far working well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Doesn’t stay on crank arm I have (had) two. One on road bike that’s endured thousands of miles. However I lost the one on mountain bike today. Too much jarring on trails evidently popped it right off. Guess you need to attach to shoe instead. Disappointed

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Worked with my Polar V650 I bought the combo speed and cadence package for use with my Polar V650. I bought it since the Wahoo SC would always get kicked out of position. Instructions for installing the cadence sensor came in the box, but nothing for the speed sensor. No "speed tool" for opening the sensors to replace batteries was provided either. The speed sensor fit on on of our bikes that was equipped with a small diameter front hub, but the rubber strap is too short for our bikes with dyno hubs. It won't fit those bikes on the rear hub either, as they have IGH hubs.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works ok Bought this thinking it might be more accurate than the GPS but I'm not realty sure it's made any difference

Rated 3 out of 5 by from rubber band is way to short If you use a hub dynamo (in my case a have son dynamo) the rubber band is way to short and is useless in my case. It would be nice to point this out in the product description or they would add a second, longer rubber band to the product, like garmin is doing with their sensors.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good design but has its flaws I got this setup with my Ciclo bike computer using Ant+, it works fine but there's is at least like a 5 second delay to the reading. I then also paired it with my iPhone using Bluetooth and it has the same delay. I hope a software update will fix that in the future. Otherwise, it works.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Dosn't fit to dynamo hubs The sensor only comes with one rubber mountingband which is too short to fit it on any dynamo hubs (e.g. Shimano, SON, Supernova). This is very disapointing and should be pointed out in the product description. A second (longer) rubber mountingband shout be included. Any idea where i can order a suitable mountingband? Dos Whaoo offer it as a spare part?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Did not work on first ride So, I got this setup with Wahoo fitness app on my iphone6, and went for a ride yesterday. The app pulled the speed information just fine. But it didn't seem to get any distance. I think this might be an early adopter issue, and the fix should be relatively easy - will need to contact support, and see what they say. I also had another phone in my jersey pocket, on which I had the app use gps to compare how closely the two tracked w.r.to speed and distance. Will have to wait to get that comparison. The reason I want this is two fold, (1) To use with my bike on my trainer (not a wahoo trainer, nor a smart trainer) - this is assuming I can get it installed on the back hub - I currently have it on the front hub - which is what wahoo seems to recommend. (2) If I can get the route from GPS, but the speed and distance from this, I can set the GPS to only poll for data once say every 10 seconds or so, and prolong phone battery life hopefully. That way, you have the route from the GPS, but finer grain speed data. (My hope was to use this with the RFLKT+ to also get the altitude info with gps polling turned to infrequent, but I haven't gotten the RFLKT+ to work yet.)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good, but not great I bought this last summer to track my recumbent trike rides.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Always on pause Can't get it to work with Samsung s health it does nothing .won't fit on my bikes rear hub so if it worked at all i couldn't us it on my stationary stand only on road as it fits on front wheel hub only connects to Wahoo app but pauses no matter how fast or far you peddle you have to stop get out your phone push start put down phone take off and it pauses within a few feet again useless and frustrating to work with for such a simple device you shouldent have to spend time with support he'll back and forth it should just work.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Connection problems I am having trouble keeping the RPM speed sensor connected to my Edge520. The sensor has been replaced and all the troubleshooting Garmin could think of has been done. Any ideas?
Date published: 2016-04-29
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Won't fit on larger hubs. Complete waste of money. I have Hope Hoops hubs and the mount just won't fit. Wahoo should provide a selection of mounts for different hub sizes - as supplied it is unuseable.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Many issues This seemed to work well at first but then I discovered that the speed sensor was not connecting to my phone and I was getting GPS data. The app needs a lot of work, it changes the wheel circumference on its own, I assume based off the GPS data which makes the sensor useless. The sensor no longer connects to the phone at all. Tried to email tech support and they were clueless. This is a great idea but it needs a LOT of work.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful! Frustrating!Expensive to run Bought this about a month ago to pair with my Elemnt Bolt (which I like a lot). Out of the box the unit would not pair. On investigation I found that the battery that came with the unit was dead. I was angry that this was the case but pressed on and inserted another battery. I linked up to my Elemnt Bolt and Strava and thought the issue was sorted. Four weeks and four brand new Duracell CR2032 batteries later (at a cost of £2.50 stg each) I have reached the end of my tether with this unit. All of the batteries last no more than one or two rides and sometimes no rides at all! Clearly there is an issue with these units as I have now read several other reviews where buyers have found the same issue. Whether it is confined to one batch or not I do not know but mine is by no means an isolated incidence of this fault. As a comparison I have run a Garmin ANT speed sensor for 3 years and 15,0000 miles and replaced the battery only once during that time. I only purchased the RPM Speed for the Bluetooth compatibility. I have been a very enthusiastic advocate of the Elemnt Bolt and have convinced a number of friends to switch from Garmin units. I would definitely not recommend this unit however.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not sure about quality of cadence sensor I already have one on my sports bike at it has worked fine with no problems - straight out of the box. So I bought a second for my cyclocross bike. This one was 'dead' - would not turn on, so contacted support who were great and very fast - advised me to put in a new battery. This I did and the sensor came to life and registered with the wahoo, but half way through the ride next day it died again. A second new battery but still nothing. So I contacted support who speedily send out a new replacement - I thought well OK just unlucky with the first one, but the new one arrived - also dead! So yet another new battery and well this time it has come alive and worked for my first hour long ride with it this afternoon. Whether it still works tomorrow I've no idea. Bad batch or sending out old stock? Maybe the battery should not be pre-installed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Battery life is very very short First of all, the battery which came with the product was dead. I replaced the battery wiht a new one and it lasted only for three sessions. Very dissapointing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Replacing battery ever ride Purchased wahoo speed and out of the box the battery was dead. Replaced the battery took a two hour ride and let sit for three days. Battery was dead next time I rode. Replaced the battery added the sensor and didn't ride but rather just sat it on my table. Three days later the battery was dead.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unreliable Average Speed Math (Sensor or App?) I am a stats junky... I use interval stats to keep myself motivated -- especially on longer rides. I have found that the average speeds reported during rides range from moderately to wildly inaccurate. I don't know if the sensor calculates the current & average speeds (not sure how it would) or simply reports RPM to the Wahoo Fitness app. Either way, it is pretty obvious when the app announces my workout time as 1 hour 37 seconds, average speed as 15.2 MPH, and workout distance as 18 miles, SOMETHING is calculating wrong. While I've wasted more money on stupider things, I would have rather spent my money on something other than a sensor/app that is bad at math.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not fit my Old Super Record Hubs. Bought this and it does not fit my hubs. Product is not universal. The hub diameter has to be rather large for the mount to work. Very disappointing.
Date published: 2017-04-21
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stopped working after less than a year When using this with my Elemnt, it displays widely varying speeds of up to 75 mph. Other times it drops the connection completely and the display just reads N/A. I didn't have this issue until just recently - after a few months of use. I don't have any confidence in the quality of Wahoo Fitness products.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from does not work This is out of the box and not working. I suspect that it was delivered with a flat battery, as was the case with my cadence sensor (see other review). But to be honest I cannot be bothered to investigate. Why? 1. I now have zero confidence in my Wahoo products after endless issues with anything I have ever bouight from them 2. I have devoted so much time to troubleshooting these products, I have lost the will carry on. I just wanna ride my bike, but all I seem to do with way too much of my precious ride time is fiddle about trying to coax some life into these substandard products (see also my review of the Reflkt +)
Date published: 2016-10-25
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Probably causing my Elemnt to go haywire When using this with my Elemnt, it reads speeds of up to 161 mph. I never saw this issue using my previous speed sensor. Also, it often drops out completely and the display just reads N/A.
