Rated 5 out of 5 by from Next Level Indoor Cycling ... We've had the KICKR Bike for 2 months now and it has changes the way we train, group ride, and race on Zwift. With the quiet operation, seamless shifting, and quick user change capabilities we have seen our progress pick-up immensely. Being a 2-bike household there is no more swapping bikes once or twice a day. I also find that I push harder on both uphill and downhill grades knowing how quickly I can ratchet through the gears without listening to cassettes grinding. It has made even the hardest workout or race fun again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic training, realistic and fun! Absolutely amazing piece of kit. I can train hard and realistic in bad weather or if the roads are busy. Anytime of the day. The resistance is super realistic and it actually freewheels! You go up hills and you go down. Thank you wahoo for giving me back my training enthusiasm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible technology! I'm a serious cyclist with a very busy professional work and family schedule. So heavily rely on indoor training for sanity, fitness, and efficiency. I had a 2016 Kickr that I logged close to 'miles on last year and the year before. Although that is a great product, the Kickr Bike is simply a leap forward in terms of noise (it is practically silent), ride feel, and integration with training apps. I use trainer road and was a bit confused at first because you don't need to calibrate the Kickr Bike. This made me incredulous that it would be accurate, but it absolutely is.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from KICKR Bike - fantastic! I have had my KICKR bike for 10 days now and have ridden around 21 hours, or 380 miles on Zwift. I really, really like it. It wasn't cheap, but at this point I would say it's worth every penny. It was a bit of a pain to carry down the basement stairs (it's heavy!), but it went together easily and quickly. The setup was simple, though the take-a-picture-of-your-bike feature didn't work, so I just measured my bike and set it up like I would any other bike. It connected immediately to Zwift on my Mac, no problems, except at first I didn't know to search separately for cadence and power (the controllable interface connected first). I was riding within an hour of starting the assembly. My previous setup was a power meter-equipped road bike on a dumb trainer, so some of what seems so great about the KICKR bike might be also true of any smart trainer, but the difference to me is night and day. The KICKR bike feels like riding on the road in the way momentum carries over when you coast, or cease pedaling just for a few revs, or start up a hill after a descent. On a steep descent it conveys that feeling of carrying a tremendous amount of speed that you get on the road. The way the bike tilts up & down to match grade means your weight distribution is constantly changing on a rolling course, just like on the road. Over the past year, on any Zwift ride much over an hour, I always watched pro bike racing for the second hour on. I've done several 2+ hour ride on the KICKR bike now, and haven't thought about switching on some racing. It's just way more engaging. I've got it set up with the same derailleurs and gear ratios as my road bike, and it's amazing how similar the feel is - I've done several outside rides since I've had it. And it's great not to have to take the bike off the trainer, swap wheels, or anything else to be ready to ride outside. It's very quiet, quieter than my road bike on the fluid trainer for sure, but not silent. You can hear the turbine/flywheel revving, and there is an audible resonance when you hit a cadence of about 105, at least for the first 15 or 20 minutes of a ride. It isn't displeasing - I actually find it useful as a shifting prompt. After about 20 minutes that resonance stops happening. I haven't found any others like it, at least up to around 140 RPM. I find myself really looking forward to riding each day, and to doing essentially all base miles on it over the next few months.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from KICKR Smart Bike Upgraded from a Wahoo Kickr smart trainer, so I’m a fan of their product line. This smart bike is an incredible product – very satisfied. Also, I use exclusively with Zwift. The Wahoo setup app was very helpful. Used by comparing with my actual Trek road bike to obtain the settings & establish a bike profile based on actual gearing, shifters & crank arm lengths. Easily added Look pedals to match my preference on my Trek. Smart bike settings can be easily tweaked-from seat-post to head-set. Very adjustable & versatile for a smart bike. Impressed. Virtual shifters are amazingly quick. I did not use the incline simulation with previous smart trainer, but was pleasantly surprised with that feature on this bike. Bike seat can also be replaced! And it’s noticeably quiet compared to the KICKR Smart Trainer I was previously using. My family has specifically mentioned this as I ride in the early AM hours while watching PL football on NBCSN – bike, and thus TV, are not disruptive in the household! Negatives: Only 1 cage for bottles. But a greater issue for me was that longer water bottles, such as Camelbak Podium Big Chill, don’t easily fit with shift cables hooked to the LED Display. Plus, I don’t prefer where the LED Display is mounted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New KickrBike! My KickrBike arrived yesterday. From the time I started unpacking until I had it paired with the Wahoo app was all of 30 minutes. I took my first ride a bit later, pairing with Zwift to test the climbing feature. Bottom line, works great. I was previously on the Gen3 Kickr, which I thought was very quiet. The bike is equally quiet if not slightly more quiet. Great feeling ride and I particularly like that you get a bit of flex up and down. Bottom line, super happy so far!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Some of the best excersise you can get at home. The good: overall this is a 5 star product, the design team did a great job on it, it has the most and the best features available today, it is very adjustable, it looks great and doesnt take up too much space and it gives you an excellent workout. I compared the simulation on Zwift to real life and, the way this bike handles changes in terrain and adjusts the load is outstanding, to the point that I had the same level of tiredness over the same distance on a flat course as I do in real life, even the speeds generally matched what I get in real life data. Having said this, the downhill simulation is the only place its not perfect in that regard, it doesnt quite feel right, the flywheel doesnt seem to keep up with the simulation and, if you were rolling down a steep hill and stopped pedaling the system will spin down and the flywheel will eventually fully stop, even though in Zwift you are still rolling down and picking up speed. It doesnt seem to allow you to freewheel downhill properly. Im guessing that, if the motor is strong enough this can be fixed with software patches. Overall this is an outstanding exercise tool and worth the money hands down. I cant speak for long term reliability but, it feels like it should handle the virtual miles well. The bad: the seat that comes with the bike is terrible, dont even try to use it it will hurt you, just have a different seat right away and install it from the start. My particular bike had a lot of vibration and metallic buzzing at low rpm, at first I thought something inside was loose but, that was not the case. On the left side of the bike (left when sitting on it) is a plastic panel attached with a bunch of little Allen head screws, if you remove that panel you get access to the rear axle adjustment bolt (9/16th wrench), a circuit board and the cooling system. Now, the way they cool part of the system is by having a fan blowing through a metal wind tunnel, inside that wind tunnel are two metal coils/springs, the problem is that when certain vibrations hit those coils, they make a metallic buzzing sound like a screw rattling. The vibrations themselves came from the flywheel, it is a heavy flywheel and the rear axle adjuster is the oldschool "slider" type, you loosen the bolt and slide that side of the axle around a little bit changing the angle of the flywheel relative to the center line of the bike. Well, in my bike it wasnt adjusted correctly, the flywheel was slightly off center causing a lot of vibration, especially at low RPM, and those vibrations caused everything that could buzz to do so, after playing around with it I was able to center the flywheel a lot better and the vibration is now gone for the most part. So, if you get this bike and experience something like this thats how you fix it, the company doesnt have instructions yet so I wrote them for you here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AMAZING Before I purchased the Wahoo bike I checked customer ratings and they were all extremely positive. I had no idea the bike would be as good as it was. I can't tell you how pleased I am with this purchase. I had everything up and running within 30 minutes and that included unboxing the bike. I was very impressed with the extra quality to detail that wahoo put into their product. I use to dread the days I had to train indoors but now I am actually looking forward to it. Great job Wahoo

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing and ready to ride! I love the new Kickr bike. I had a Wahoo Kickr and Climbr before, which I loved. It was a hassle to remove the bike on and off constantly. This bike is ready to go whenever it’s time to ride. It’s been raining in Southern California a lot the last couple weeks and to be able to still get that 3 hour ride in was amazing. So comfortable and realistic when connect to Zwift. My coach sets the workout on Zwift and the Kickr bike does the rest. With a little power from you of course. Totally recommend this product!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent bike!! Excellent bike, easy to build etc and the incline and decline as you are cycling is excellent!. The only element that could be improved is the seat - The seat is uncomfortable for a female and it would be good if you were provided with 2 seats or the option to select a seat designed for females.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 4/5 good product Expensive but fairy good quality product. Slightly noisy sometimes and the saddle is very uncomfortable. I changed mine after two days of training on it. The bike is very adjustable and it’s easy to setup. Strong 4 out of 5.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Maybe not quite worth the money? Got it up and running about 2 weeks ago. Came from 6 months of intensive Tacx Neo2 with my regular road bike. I only do Zwifting and I really like the "Climb"-feature. I did like the road feel of the neo2 but since I mostly do training sessions I seldom got to enjoy it that much. The Climb makes indoor riding a lot more varied which definitely helps with saddle soreness. Feels good so far all-in all but I haven't gotten the comfort-level dialed in yet. Some big and small minuses: 1) minor: bike fit/setup was a bit tricky tbh. The guide just reported my quite regular fit as an error and the app was troublesome to navigate. Ended up tossing my proffesional fit and just fiddle with the bike until it felt about right. 2) possible biggy: thigh rubbing - this is just failed product development tbh. Very annoying and I seriously recommend people to try the bike before buying. I didn't have that option and though my very average thighs would be safe from this problem. Try before you buy! 3) possible biggy: whining noise - compared to my previous neo2 and neo2T this one is definitely louder and makes an annoying whining noise at some load/cadance-combinations. Don't really care that much about it but if you for some reason end up ERGing in that combination it might drive you crazy. 4) possible biggy: not broadcasting power/cadance to my fenix! Yeah I read about this like a year ago and thought they would have fixed this by now. Seriously annoying to not register indoor sessions on my watch like I did just fine on my neo. This is a biggy and would probably tip the scales into a "would not buy" if I had tried the bike before ordering it. 5) minor? shifting - not sure if this is a minus yet or just working as intended, but: when up-shifting I don't feel what others describe as good haptic feedback. I get like a peak of higher resistance for 1-2 seconds and then it lowers to the gear I shifted to. Doesn't feel natural at all. Is it supposed to feel like that? (will fiddle more with gear settings before I conclude anything)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great but could be improved... I have about 900 miles logged on my Wahoo Bike. Overall its a great piece of kit but there are a few things that could be improved. Overall quality is great. Setup was super fast and easy. The mobile app that helps to get your geometry to match your regular bike works great. The lack of a need to calibrate the power meter is also really nice. When riding the bike the tilting is a nice feature as coaches have told me that the angle of your bike is critical for climbing training adaption. The fact that the stem, handlebar, saddle, seatpost are all standard design is great because its easy to swap out those parts to put your favorite (preferred) parts in thos locations. (Which is what I did) Now for things to improve... The saddle is uncomfortable. I'd suggest changing it out to one with a cut out. I ended up putting a cheap Specialized Power Saddle on mine, and its a vast improvement. Wahoo should make a cut out saddle standard on the bike. Overall the bike is a little more flexy than I would like. Out of the saddle sprinting causes the bike to creak quite a bit. I think that the head tube of the bike could have been made much more robust. The real brake levers are a really nice feature. I've programed mine to match the di2 set up on my bike, however the shape of the lever body is a little funky making it impossible to create a flat transition from the top of the handlebar to the top of the lever body. There is a slight dip in the top of the lever body which is uncomfortable when your hands are on the hoods. I'd re-design the lever body so that the top of the lever body doesnt have a dip in it. Ive also changed out the handlebar for one that is wider (44cm) and with an ergonomic bend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Bike Set up was pretty straight forward but fit customization was not working on the app. I like being able to set up shifting to mimic every bike. Unit feels sturdy and well built. Ride is smooth and everything seems to work like it should. Gradient changes feel authentic. Shift buttons on inside of hoods seem to be in the way a bit. My thighs touch the top tube a little but it is a great bike.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good But Not As Good As A Peloton I'm glad I have it, really like it, but the craftsmanship is not that of a $3,500 indoor bike. How do I know? Well, my wife has a Peloton bike and that is a top notch piece of equipment. On the Peloton every adjustment knob is smooth and easy to use whereas some of the adjustment knobs in the KICKR require the strength of Hulk to operate them. The Peloton is quite as a feather falling through the air, whereas the KICKR is much louder. Also, the pairing with my Wahoo Element is a bit glitchy. I don't regret the purchase and I will be keeping it as I do enjoy it enough, but I wanted to be blown away by it and instead it comes across like a second class citizen next to the Peloton.
Date published: 2020-04-30
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Kickr Bike I love the technology that the Kickr Bike offers, but the bike itself just isn't very substantial at all. When climbing a hill, and I need to get out of the saddle and stand up, I hesitate because I feel like the bike might fall apart. It rattles and sways when I get out of the saddle and I'm not a big person at all. Initially I wondered if it wasn't assembled correctly, but realized its just the bike. I am rather disappointed in the quality...especially because I paid $3500. for it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from So wanted to like it, sadly returning. Very well made and packaged. Easy to put together, but needed to work on getting my fit right. Was very excited to get going. Had a couple of shake down rides and the elevation is great the cockpit configuration amazing. However the magnetic flywheel was a let down for me. It resonated a lot and sometimes felt like an uneven power output on the erg. 8 rides after to be sure, I gave my Wahoo Kickr a go and loved it once more. Regretfully sending back. Have to say that Wahoo support was great. Look forward to returning to the product in the future.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not happy at this point It's surprising that Wahoo sells such a fine bicycle trainer yet provides Customer Support so lacking. With simply prompt response to questions regarding the bike's set-up, an App that isn't working properly, and the attention given to a client that comes with purchasing their $3500 marquis product I'd easily have rated the transaction 5 Stars.
Date published: 2020-05-02
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Kickr Bike not ready for primetime Bike quality is great. But bike is missing ESSENTIAL ANT+ communications features most other trainers have. I would have bought it had I known. Wahoo has promised a firmware update to fix it. But still not there. So in short don’t buy it until cadence and speed/power is transmitted via normal ANT+ and not ANT+ FE-C only. It is such a letdown just like the promised update to TickrX to support ANT+ standard running dynamics transmission. (Promised for 3 years now)
