ELEMNT MINI Bike Computer is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 21.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Size and Functions When riding I only want to see two things: 1) Time, so I know when to hydrate and refuel, and 2) Heart Rate, to control my effort. The Elemnt Mini is perfect. I can have only Time and HR on the display, it is very light and reliable. I was so pleased I ended up buying a spare and one for my girlfriend.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Yes, but... I bought the Mini to replace Polar CS200 which served me happily for many years but been plagued by interference forcing me to place it at odd locations on my bike. I am an endurance rider, have a dedicated gps and wanted something simple which lasts. Back to the Mini. Solid package, good stable mount. Reasonable setup. Readable display. Not very stable or predictable. Had a few resets while riding. Hoped to re-use my Polar H7 HR monitor using Bluetooth Smart.. obviously an unreasonable expectation. So I bought the Wahoo Tickr, plus additional speed and candence sensors for my second bike / gravel wheels. Only to find out that the Mini only taks three sensors ( HR, cadence and speed ) so forget the second bike. Also forget a timer, or possible automatic cycling between displays present on my ancient Polar. The other issue CS200 had was the erratic HR reading.. had replaced the sensid belt many times, washed etc. Tickr wins here. No more Max HR at 220. The companion app is jerky on my iPhone, occasionally waiting for something. Once through the set up - not an issue. I am still using Polar app - that is where my old data is. Incidentally Polar app talks to Tickr. A curious thing, when riding without the Wahoo app active and syncing post ride the app gets somwhere the gps data. Was it ever off? Or does it steal it from Polar :-)? Now, very recently the app offered me Elmnt Mini firmware update. Which failed. And the Mini is stuck in update loop which I cannot break by removing battery or shorting the battery contacts. I understand a replacemnt willl be sent. Three days before a five day tour. I can see the little triumphant smile on the CS200 face.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DONT BUY THIS PRODUCT! I sent mine back.Firstly, the speed didn’t work. Then it worked for 5 miutes then wouldn’t connect. Wahoo are a good company but this product is very under par for them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not ready for market, poor OS! Having used the full Element for 6 months and blown away with the unit, I was looking for a small unit for my MTB. The Mini seemed perfect, but alas, it was a slightly disappointing purchase. The unit itself is up to standard, great build quality etc. The OS though is a different story. Constantly failing in ride, which is highly frustrating. Bluetooth sync failing most days. I have had to reset the unit more times than I can remember. I updated the unit before my last ride and had the same issues. I'm sure the Mini will become a stable and very good unit, but until the OS is stable, then i can't recommend anyone spending £79.99 on it. I will add, the Elemnt is a super bit of kit and worth the extra money all day long, I will be looking to buy another to replace the Mini.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple yet powerful I have been using this for a week and so far it has been great, all of the features are flawless and the elemnt bike app is great. Bluetooth pairing takes no time and its flawless too. When I dont want to use my phone I only ride with the sensor and so far so good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All the basics at a great price! I ride two pedal assist bikes up in the mountains of Idaho. At 71, I am just out to get some exercise and burn off a few calories. I was using a Garmin 820 that had too many features and needed charging before every ride (my rides tend to be at least 1/2 centuries). The element mini allows me to monitor just what I need and I don't have to worry if it rains or constantly charge it!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Far below expectations I had high expectations of this gadget, but in the end it's proved wore than useless for my needs. - here's why: The battery life is impressive, but if you do long hours in the saddle you'll soon eat it up. There's no battery gauge, so you may find yourself losing some of the ride if you run out of juice. I had assumed the app would keep going if the head unit ran out of power, or was briefly disconnected because you went into a shop outside the range of bluetooth, but this isn't the case. You only get notification for SMS. If you use data-based messaging (FB Messenger, What's App, etc.) then you're out of luck. Other notifications are also not supported, such as alarms or Gmail - not great if you are trying to fit a ride in around something important. Battery life of the phone gets hammered, too. I can get over 12hours using Strava on my phone, but using Wahoo limits this to 8. On my S7 that's a third less available hours for very little perceived benefit. I knew there was no backlight. That's a niggle I didn't think I'd mind about, but I do - shorter days mean I can't actually see the screen for much of my ride. I was surprised that the optional speed sensor was not automatically calibrated by the GPS, like it does for Garmin. Now the good stuff: It's small and the bar mount appears to be firm and stable. The buttons are easy to use with gloved hands. The beacon is good, but nothing above what's provided free by others such as ViewRanger. Overall, I would rather have a backlight, fuel gauge, usb charging, and a 'GEAR' style of interface where I could choose all the possible notifications I could see. I prefer to use Strava on it's own now.so I get longer battery life and additional features if I need them while stopped (mapping, distance).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Technical Difficulties I bought this product and the functionality looked fantastic. But, The model has not synced properly and has restarted in the middle of rides when paired with phone mode. I have lost data of the ride multiple times. I can only use this in non phone mode. I purchased this product for the ease of uploading data to Strava and using it paired for a complete cycling experience. It has not met my expectations.
