New KICKR SNAP Bike Trainer is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 172.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Phenomenal Unit for the Price Had this for just under 1 month now and have to say it's a superb unit. Hasn't got the amazing direct drive feel of the KICKR, but at half the price this is expected and not really a surprise. The quality of the ride feel though is the best bar none on any wheel on trainer on the market, when using ERG mode and connected to the SNAP as the power source it's mighty impressive. As a side to this note, when connect with a power meter the feel isn't so good and is qute variable. However my QUARQ Dzero measures roughly 1-5w the same as the SNAP on any session I have done so far,, so there is absolutely no need to use the power source as the QUARQ for me. For the money this is highly recommended & the Wahoo integration features are secind to none!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I spend more time working on it than riding it I have had this trainer for almost 3 years. I was really excited about it in hopes that it would be more fun and simplify my training compared to a fluid trainer. Unfortunately it has been the exact opposite. Every time I use it I end up spending a ton of time trying to get it to work properly. I've used it with the android app, trainerroad and zwift. It has nonstop issues. I have constant connection issues to I bought a cable to put the dongle next to it. This helped but still doesn't solve it. In ERG mode it lags behind on short intervals. Sometimes it is still making adjustment for the first interval when I'm already in the second interval. My workouts usually take an extra 15-30 minutes because of how much time it takes to keep messing with it.I wish so much that it worked better. I've been in constant contact with Wahoo IT since I got it. It's always the same answers and I do the same thing but it never helps. I'm always told to make sure it's not connected to any other bluetooth or ant+, do an advanced spindown or some kind of combination. None of these help and the company has told me that they won't replace it. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this product. It has been flawed from day one and I usually end up having to use it as a dumb trainer. I've also been disappointing with their customer support. I have friends who also complain about the same issues. I recommend looking into another brand for a smart trainer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Totally Inacurate I bought this about 3 weeks ago, and since the very first use it has been inaccurate. I have performed numerous advanced spin downs, to no avail. I have called customer service twice and emailed the support link about this as well. The power reading output as well as the speed (which are both correlated to the brake setting) are dramatically lower than my normal averages. This has been a useless piece of equiptment that I am sorry I ever purchased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Far, So Good I've had my bike trainer for close to a month and I love it. I wish it came with HR and cadence sensors but it doesn't. Overall I am really happy with it

Rated 3 out of 5 by from kickr snap bought this in 2015, but writing a review because I was asked to do so. If I had to do it again, I'd pay the extra $600 and go for the Kickr. The snap has wheel spin w/ gradients of 10% or more. Tires tend to squeal. Replaced 2 brains for the unit. However, I do have high regard for support network, who replaced 2nd brain of the unit even after wrnty expired. The product is good, just don't expect that climbs of over 10% will go w/out wheel spin, even if flywheel is tightened 2 1/2 turns, wheel psi 110, and other spec is satisfied. But, for $599, about half of what you'd pay for a kickr.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Terrible Wheel Mount Wheel mounting is not stable. I could not get my wheel fixed. The adjustment screw ran out of travel. The skewer provided was also too long which prevented proper clamping. Roller tension must be set to an excessive amount to obtain the required power calibration during spin down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a great trainer I have had my Kickr Snap for 3 weeks now, and have logged about 100 miles on it. It has totally met my expectations. I was a little concerned about using a wheel on trainer with Zwift based on what people were telling me, but I have found the Snap to be a solid performer for me on that venue. (I approach Zwift more like a game that motivates me rather than a serious competition, and maybe that should be considered in this review). As for the stand itself, the first thing you notice about the Snap is that it is very stable. The bike on/off is about as easy and secure as you can get with the large lever for engaging the wheel. When I first rode it I immediately noticed that the trainer is also quieter than other trainers I've owned. When you plug it in with something like Zwift it is also capable of far more resistance than traditional trainers. I have felt a bit of wheel slip only on the steepest of hills, but that is expected in a wheel on trainer. In the end, if you're looking for a smart trainer, and you don't have the money to spend on a wheel off trainer, the Snap is completely capable of filling that role. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Smart Trainer I have five trainers. The Wahoo Kickr Snap is my first smart trainer and I'm thrilled with how solid it feels and how quietly and smoothly it roll. The mount is better than most, the tire grip is great and it works as advertised.
